November is Military Appreciation Month

physical therapy Nov 01, 2024

It's November.  That means elections, football, and Thanksgiving.  It's also Veteran's Day every November 11.

A very brief history: Originally known as Armistice Day, November 11 marks the date of the end of World War I.  In 1954, November 11 was officially recognized by Congress and proclaimed by President Eisenhower to be Veteran's Day, a day to recognize all veterans.  Here's an actual copy of the proclamation from 1954.

For the history buffs out there, here's a link to the detailed history of Veteran's Day from the VA.

While we make an effort to regularly recognize our members of the military both past and present, we take it to another level this month.  We always offer a military and first responder discount, but in conjunction with Veteran's Day and as a way to show appreciation for the service and sacrifice members of the armed forces make for us, November is Military Appreciation Month at Inspired Athletx.

For the month of November, veterans and active-duty service members receive FREE physical therapy evaluations and 50% off all physical therapy treatment plans.

Many military personnel have physical traumas that they deal with on a regular basis and many deal with issues long after retirement, so this is our small way of doing something to help.

Inspired Athletx provides high-level manual physical therapy, at our facility in Plymouth, MN, that helps people improve their mobility and quality of movement.  When people move better they tend to move more, which enables an improved quality of life.  It is our hope that we can help improve quality of life for those who have spent theirs helping to preserve and protect ours.

Thank you veterans and thank you to all those currently serving these great United States.
